Update!

Hello everyone. It has been a while. Things have been busy around the Eldredge house since the holidays. We have started building a shed in the back yard, and are hoping to eventually finish off the garage and turn that into an office. Therefore, most free weekends (weather permitting) have been spent doing that.

Christmas Eve was spent at Grandma and Grandpa's visiting with Paran Danny and Unc. Christmas Day was spent with Nana and Poppy. It was great seeing Kimberly enjoy all of the toys and books she got. She especially liked her wagon and chair. New Years Eve brought a new experience for Kimberly. FIREWORKS! She loved them. She would start bouncing up and down when her Daddy would light them and start giggling when they went BOOM! I am not sure who was laughing more, Kimberly at the fireworks, or the adults at Kimberly's joy.

Winter is upon us. It has brought abnormally cold weather for South Louisiana. We are actually having a true winter! In fact, it was in the upper teens to low 20's for about a week in early January, and we got a little bit of snow in February. As most know with winter and close quarters with other children at daycare comes childhood illnesses. If Kimberly was not sick George and I were. Some of the illnesses Kimberly has dealt with since December: sinus infection, ear infection, hand foot and mouth disease, bronchitis, and Fifth Disease. Luckily, she is a good little thing and was at her worse when she had bronchitis, and we had to give her breathing treatments three times a day. George and I have dealt with colds, sinus infections, stomach viruses, and bronchitis. Hopefully the end is in sight though.

Kimberly is progressing well too. She is getting braver and pushing things all over our house. She is at times standing independently for about a minute, and is taking a "step" to let go and reach for something else. I have a feeling it will not be that much longer before she is walking. Verbally she is amazing everyone. Some of the words she is saying are: up, no-no, hey, eyeball, knee, elbow, eye, nose, lemon, plum, banana, gumbo, cookie, cracker, magnet, Nanny, Nana, Pop (Poppy), Maw Maw (Grandma), and dog. Her new favorite trick at the moment is drinking from a straw. She is so proud this newest trick. Well that is about all for now.

We will keep you all posted on any new developments. February pictures will be posted soon.
