Time is flying...

Today I am 24 weeks pregnant. I find it hard to believe that I have fewer weeks left in the pregnancy then the amount of weeks that I have completed. Seriously, George and I will be parents in approximately 16 weeks. Yikes. This means that we have a lot to do in preparation for Little Eldredge. The main thing is picking out a name. I believe we have the girl name, but we are still working on a boy name. Hopefully, we can decide on that in the next couple of weeks, and we will keep you posted.
Next weekend we have our first prenatal class on breastfeeding, and yes George is being dragged to the class. After that we are flying to Washington, DC for the Fourth of July for a friends wedding. I am really excited to see my friends, but I am a little nervous about getting on the plane. However, my OB has said that he sees no reason to be worried.
After our return from DC, we are going to start cleaning the room that will become the nursery. I have a feeling once the crib and changing table are set up and decorations are in place the idea of a baby will become more of a reality to us. We found out that our crib and changing table came in, so this is a step in the right direction. Also, in July we begin taking our child birth classes. I have already started reading books and information online about natural child birth, but I am hoping that this class will be very informative to both George and I. We are also planning on taking a class called After Baby Comes. This class will talk about feeding, changing diapers, dressing a baby, etc. I believe this is going to be a good class for both of us because I don’t think George or I have ever changed a diaper. We have a lot to learn, but I think the real learning will begin once Little Eldredge makes his/her appearance.
Not much else to report. I am doing well. My only complaint has been the heat, and I am really not looking forward to July and August. My next OB checkup in July 1 and I will let you know how that goes.
