Our trip to DC

This past weekend George and I flew up to Washington, DC for Maggie and Chris' wedding. As a result, Little Eldredge took his/her first plane ride. I have got to say that he/she really enjoyed it. Most of the time we were in the air the baby was kicking up a storm. In fact, George was able to see the baby kick from the outside for the first time on our way back home. When he saw it he said, "Wow".Thankfully, our flights were pretty uneventful. I prepared ahead of time by making sure that I was plenty hydrated. I did suffer from some swelling of the ankles, but nothing too serious. Bottom line, it was great to see my friends from grad school again. We were even able to meet Jen and Steven's adorable little boy Luke. We ate lunch on the 4th at a little place in Old Town Alexandria, which was really nice. The food was fantastic, and the company we shared even better.
On the 5th we headed to Laurel, MD for Maggie's wedding. Word of advice - never use Google maps if you are driving in the DC area. All I can say is that it is a good thing we left a little early. The wedding was beautiful and the bride and groom looked happy. Again, it was great seeing them and BB, Michelle, and Alice.
The next day we headed on home. It was great to see our friends after so long, but it was nice to be home.
