Another Ultrasound

Yesterday was an interesting day for me. I had a little scare at work where I felt like I was about to faint. My heart rate was elevated, and George was called to come pick me up from work because I would get dizzy every time I would stand up. Needless to say once I got home I call my OB. He wanted me to come in ASAP for my appointment that was originally scheduled for today. He really didn't say what was wrong with me, but ordered me to bed for the rest of the day.So, I had today's ultrasound yesterday. The OB says that everything looks good with the baby. He/she is at the right weight for gestational age (roughly 3 pounds 9 ounces). I find it hard to believe that he/she will basically double in size during the next 8 weeks. I was able to see the 4 chambers of the heart, and the tech said everything looked good with the heart. The heart rate was 156 beats per minute. It is amazing how much our baby has changed in the 10 weeks since the last ultrasound. His/her hands and feet are not as boney, the baby was yawning while the ultrasound was going on, and his/her face is starting to fill out. It looks like he/she will have some chubby cheeks. Also, it appears that Little Eldredge has hair! It looked like a little halo around the head! Hopefully, it will not fall out before he/she is born. For some reason I want a baby with a lot of hair. This is possible since my brother, mother, and I were all born with a head full of hair.
Other then this there really is no news. George will be posting the new ultrasound pictures soon. I have my next check up in two weeks. We will keep you posted on any new developments.
