Alive and well!

We made it through Hurricane Gustav with me having only one break down emotionally. This occured when I was told that our power might not be back on for another 14-21 days. However, we got power back this past Sunday. We have never been more thankful to sleep in our own bed as we were Monday night. Enough complaining: George and I were one of lucky ones in Baton Rouge and had no damage to our house. We did lose a portion of our privacy fence and our mail box, but those needed replacing anyway. It will just make us replace them a little sooner then we had originally planned. I am so thankful that Nana and Poppy have a generator that runs the whole house. I think I would have been miserable without A/C for almost a week. Thanks again for letting George and I stay with you!

My baby shower for family and friends, which will be hosted by Gretchen and Mrs. Dot, is scheduled for September 13th. I am so excited to see my family and friends, and to celebrate the arrival of Little Eldredge. Pictures will be posted after the shower, so be sure to check back. It is hard to believe that I am due in slightly more then 4 weeks!

I had my check up with the OB yesterday. I am right on track based on weight (I actually lost 1 pound), blood pressure, growth, etc. Also, I had no signs of dilation, which is to be expected at this point. We also talked to the OB about our birth plan, which is a tool for the labor and delivery nurses to know what we want during the labor/delivery process. I go back for my next appointment in one week, and we will keep you posted on any new developments.
