Second week at home

It is hard to believe that Kimberly has been home for two weeks already! Slowly George and I are adjusting to life as parents. We are getting a little better at functioning on little sleep, but still feel like there are not enough hours in the day to do things for ourselves.Kimberly really is a good baby. She really only fusses if she is hungry or has a dirty/wet diaper. She is sleeping in about 2-3 hours chunks of time at night and is becoming more alert during the day.
We have started thinking that she may be going through a little growth spurt because she has been eating like a pig; a theory that was confirmed for us today. Since she has left the hospital Kimberly has gained nearly a pound and grown over an inch! Today Kimberly tipped the scale at 7 pounds 3.5 ounces and was 19 7/8 inches. She is going to be taller then her momma before we all know it! Dr. Katzenmeyer said that she is growing at a normal rate and answered a number of questions that we had. We go back in 6 weeks for her two month check up.
