November 2008

It is hard to believe that another month has come and gone. November was a very busy month for our family. To kick the month off Kimberly made her first trip to LSU to do some tailgating. She was good and slept most of the time. She looked cute in her LSU outfit and was given plenty of attention by passing fans. The following weekend, George and I attended the LSU vs. Alabama game, while Grandpa, Nana and Poppy babysat Kimberly. Even though the outcome of the game was not in our favor, it was a great opportunity for George and I to spend some time together.
The third weekend in November Kimberly, Grandma, and Nanan, and I went to Fort Walton Beach for some R and R. It was cold pretty much the whole week we were there, but it was a great week spend with them. Kimberly enjoyed the consent attention that was given to her, and was a great traveler. She gets into the car and falls asleep. Pictures of this trip have been posted.
Of course, there has been Thanksgiving. Wednesday, we all headed up to Nana and Poppy's (Kimberly's first visit to there house), for dinner. There she got to see her Uncle Chris, Aunt Becky and cousin Brady again. The next day we headed on over to Grandma and Grandpa's and visited with them and Paran Danny and Uncle Brent.
Besides being busy, Kimberly is growing like a weed. We brought her in the middle of November for a weight check and she was almost 10 pounds! Needless to say she eats well. Also, she is beginning to smile at things she sees, laughs in her sleep, holds her head up when being held and looks around, and is starting to really hold her head up while on her tummy. She is finding her voice also. Sometime she coos and makes cute little noises and other times she screeches to get our attention. It is amazing at how quickly she is developing. Before we know it she will be sitting up and such.
December will be a busy month also I am sure. Not only because of the holiday, but because I am returning to work on December 3 part time and will start back full time on December 15. I have mixed feelings about going back to work. On one hand I am ready to see my co-workers and do work related things, but on the other I am not looking froward to leaving my little girl.
On December 3 Kimberly goes in for her two month check up and her first round of shots. We will keep you posted on any new developments.
