Health Update

On the last post I talked about how Kimberly was having to take breathing treatments. The good news is that they really did help her breath better. Also, they were easy to give to her because she would fall asleep during most of them. However, after a week of giving her treatments she was still really congested and coughing. Therefore, I called Dr. Katzenmeyer back, and she placed Kimberly on an antibiotic. Great news: It cleared up her congestion for the first time since January! The bad news: After a week of getting up to check on Kimberly 3-4 times each night, I was worn out. On March 1st I started to feel sick and had slight cough. By Tuesday I was running a low grade fever and my asthma was acting up. I called and made myself an appointment because I was starting to have trouble breathing. At the appointment they gave me a breathing treatment. I found it pretty funny that both mother and daughter were taking breathing treatments. However, what I didn't find funny was that I was diagnosed with pneumonia! I was ordered home to rest and relax until March 9th.
Luckily, Grandma was in town for an extended visit and offered to babysit Kimberly. She took Kimberly with her on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, which allowed me to rest and not worry about Kimberly, who was on the mend. Also, that weekend Nana and Poppy had already agreed to babysit Kimberly. In other words for about a week Kimberly was spoiled rotten by her grandparents, and I was able to rest and recover.
