It has been a while since I have updated everyone on Kimberly's development. Let me tell you something, Kimberly is becoming a little talker! It seems like it happened over night. Our little girl is stringing all kind of sounds together. And she loves it when you make the sounds back at her.Kimberly is such a happy little thing. In fact, a week after her six month visit to her doctor, I had to bring Kimberly back because she was fighting her bottle. This is very unusual because she is such a good eater. While in the waiting room she was laughing and smiling. Susan, the nurse, came out and said she must not be feeling too bad since she had a big smile on her face. Guess what? She had an ear infection in both ears! Talk about a good baby!
This month Kimberly has started to eat more rice cereal. She was a natural. The first time she saw the spoon she opened her mouth like a little bird. Again, Kimberly loves to eat. We are currently feeding her cereal twice a day, and are thinking of starting squash this weekend. Before we know it she will be eating table food.
Also, Kimberly is getting pretty close to crawling. She can get places she wants by pivoting on her tummy and rolling. Kimberly is getting really good at imitating a crawfish by moving backwards. This is pretty funny to watch because she gets frustrated that she is not going forward. Before we know it George and I will have our hands full with a crawler.
May brought my first Mother's Day too! Kimberly gave be the best gift: she let Momma sleep until 8 am. The day before Mother's day we went to visit with Grandma, Grandpa, Paran Danny and Uncle Brent. It was a beautiful, but hot day. On Mother's Day we headed up to Nana and Poppy's. There Kimberly took her very first boat ride. It must of been relaxing to her because she feel asleep in the boat. It was a busy but fun weekend with our family.
All in all, May has been a good month. We find it hard to believe that in a couple short weeks Kimberly will be 8 months! We will keep you posted on any new developments.
