May - July 2010: A condensed version

Just noticed that lots of pictures have been posted lately, but few words. The old saying is that a picture is worth a thousand words - so this entry will likely be worth significantly less than 1 picture. I'll try to make it worthwhile, though.

May and June have come and gone, and while we had some decent weather lasting into May, the full nastiness that is Louisiana in summer has been blasting us for a month and a half. This limits our outdoor activities to an extent, but Kimberly has been enjoying swimming in pools both large and small. Her swimming lessons at the end of June have transformed our little girl into a swimming fiend. She'll float on her back, kick her legs, and blow bubbles in the water for hours if need be.

Kimberly has become very vocal about many things, not the least of which is a fairly loose adherence to schedule. At the same times each day, she'll look at us and say "eat!". After her dinner, she'll chant "bath!" and head to the bathroom for her bath (whether or not one is forthcoming). Towards the end of the day she'll say "nite nite" and begin blowing kisses as she moves towards her room. Interspersed in there are the demands to be read to (by tossing a book at us and saying "book" - we're trying to get rid of the tossing part) or to take a nap ("nap!").
