It's a Girl!

Kimberly Elite Eldredge said hello to the world this afternoon at 3:32. She weighs 6.5lbs and is 18.75" long - and has a lot of dark hair on her head. She is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I feel she resembles her mother more than I, but thats a good thing when you're kinda goofy looking ;). She does seem to have long toes like her daddy.

A Few Things I've Learned at the Hospital

1. A large latex glove will fit over my head.
2. A medium latex glove will not.
3. The visitor's chair is not very comfortable.
4. 10 blankets laid out in a stack on the floor is not very comfortable either - but is far more comfortable than the chair.

Friday Morning Progress Report

The title is misleading. There really hasn't been any progress. At 11pm last night, Dr. Aycock told the nurses to take Angela off of the pitocin so that she could get something to eat. The food showed up around 12:15, so she'll be put back on the pitocin at around 7am.

When the nurses took out the pitocin drip, they tested to see if there had been any dilation progress. There was none - not one bit of progress. Needless to say, this was a bit discouraging to hear. We talked...

In the hospital, waiting commences...

It has been an interesting week for us. On Tuesday, Angela had a scheduled ultrasound and OB visit. The ultrasound indicated that Angela's amniotic fluid was a little low. Dr. Aycock put Angela on bed rest and told her to drink plenty of fluids in the hope that her fluid level would rise. On Thursday we were to return, and if the level of fluid had not returned to a safe level, she'd be induced at that time.
